Trials Experience Day
These experience days start at approx 10am with an introduction to the trials bikes, the controls, how they work and how they may differ from normal road bikes. We'll also cover the basic riding techniques needed to help you cope with the various types of terrain and obstacles. We'll also briefly talk about the grounds you'll be riding around and how best to enjoy them to the full.
How long does the day last
Havng run these sessions for several years now we have decided to settle on a day that lasts approx 4-5 hours (including a lunch break). For many new to trials it is challenging and physically demanding day as a result we found the 6 hour days were to much for many whilst at the same time realising that the 3 hour sessions were over all too soon. Running these sessions for approx 4-5 hours works perfectly and also allows for more flexibility with start times especially in the summer when we have the longer evenings.
What bikes do we use?
Our fleet currently consists of modern style mono-shock trials bikes (200-250cc), they weigh approx 80kg, have 2 stroke engines and are very capable of taking you from novice level onwards.
Are there any restrictions?
All abilities are very welcome, as no licence is required and no experience is necessary. However the maximum weight of a rider permitted is 18 stone. We want to encourage new riders of all ages so please do call us if your child is under 14 years of age to see it will be suitable for them to take part. An understanding of how to ride a motorbike is useful but not essential. Please do inform us when booking whether any of the group are complete beginners as it does take some time to get riders comfortable with the bikes and their controls.

£125.00 (Includes: Bike, Fuel, Helmet, Gloves, Boots, Tea & Coffee)
How do I make a booking?
Just call us on 07805 202385 to discuss possible dates. It is always advisable to book in advance where possible and upon booking we will require a deposit of £50 per rider to secure a date for you and/or your group.
Where are we?
Lower Wembsworthy Farm, Nr Hartland, Devon, EX39 6EN - This is a true trial riders paradise located in the beautiful North Devon countryside.
What do I need to bring?
All you need to bring is clothing that you don't mind getting wet/muddy in and your lunch as you'll be on site with us for the day. Thin layers are better as you may get very warm, very quickly even in the winter, so the ability to strip off a layer or two will make for a more comfortable experience. We shall supply you with boots, helmets and gloves and you are more than welcome to bring your own as long as it is suitable.
Can I bring my own Trials bike?
You are more than welcome to bring your own trials bike to Lower Wembsworthy Farm and use this superb location for just £5 per rider per day. If you wish to do this please call John or Brenda Luckett on 01237 441611, they are the land owners and will show you around the location. Please note: Only Trials bikes are permitted on this land. If you are looking to have tuition on your own bike please call us to discuss your requirements.

What is great about our location is the comfortable accommodation on offer by the landowners (John & Brenda).
